Tanya Dimitrova, The Manager
Tanya Dimitrova is a Hearing and Speech Therapist who has been working with children and adults with hearing loss since 1998. She has experience with children with hearing aids and cochlear implanted children.
Since 2005 Tanya has been a cochlear implantation consultant at the Military Medical Academy, Sofia. She has extensive experience as a sign language interpreter, including translation of newscasts on BNT and TV7.
Tanya is also a lecturer in the Department of Special Education, Faculty of Primary and Preschool Education, at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ". She has participated in organizing and conducting numerous training courses for deaf and hearing people.
As a child of deaf parents she grew up with the problems of deafness. Tanya can make you laugh long with true stories from the collision of the worlds of hearing and deaf people.
Petya Hristova graduated as bachelor in speech therapy at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in 2015. Immediately after that, the she enrolled in new Master programm, opened at Southwestern University in Blagoevgrad: "Hearing and Speech rehabilitation after cochlear implantation."
Degree in Special Education. Speech and language therapist, auditory-verbal therapist (Military Medical Academy, Sofia). Experience as a teacher-trainer and trainer of trainers; teaching and training of adults and special needs learners. EUROLTA Certified Master Trainer. Academic experience includes part-time lecturer at the University of Sofia “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Department of Special Education. Participation in EU projects, such as SignLanguage@School (2011-2013), Deaf Port: Developing European Portfolio for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired (2008-2010), Signaeuropa IV: Family support and social environment (2006), Eurosigns: European Sign Languages (2003-2006).
Special interest in Bulgarian sign language and its usage in deaf and hard-of-hearing children/adults education; semiotic aspects of sign-bilingual education; e-learning for D/HoH.
Eva Kitanova, psychologist
Eva Kitanova has a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in clinical and consultative psychology at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ".
Eva worked as a psychologist at the Resource Center, and as a school psychologist. She leads psychodrama groups for children and consults children with special educational needs, emotional-behavioral problems, adopted and accommodated in foster families.
Dimitar graduated from the Technical University - Sofia. He has 14 years experience as an supervision inspector of dangerous equipment.
His cause now is the work with children with hearing loss. With a lot of heart and dedication he organizes and manages all administrative aspects of the work in the Center. He will welcome you with a smile and will send you with a supportive word.
In the free moments he brings children in the yard and plays with them. Popular among children and parents as uncle Mitko.
